Rick And Morty Season 6 Is Coming This September

Adult Swim has announced that Rick And Morty Season 6 will premiere on 4 September 2022.

The official synopsis for the upcoming season simply reads:

“It’s season six and Rick and Morty are back! Pick up where we left them, worse for wear and down on their luck. Will they manage to bounce back for more adventures? Or will they get swept up in an ocean of piss! Who knows?! Piss! Family! Intrigue! A bunch of dinosaurs! More piss! Another can’t miss season of your favorite show.”

Speaking with Variety, Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim and Cartoon Network, said:

“It’s hard to overstate the impact of ‘Rick and Morty.’ More than a hit show, it is truly a global phenomenon. As we prepare to launch this soon-to-be iconic season, we will be giving fans a unique way to be part of the fun – so keep your eyes peeled.”

The one-year gap between Rick And Morty Season 6 and Season 5, which concluded in September 2021, marks one of the shortest gaps between seasons for the series. Previously, Season 4 debuted in November 2019 and aired five episodes before the season resumed and concluded in May 2020, while Season 3 aired in 2017, Season 2 in 2015 and Season 1 in 2013/2014.

In Malaysia, Season 6 will begin streaming the same day as the US from Monday, September 5 on HBO GO.
