Will Insomniac’s Spider-Man Feature Multiplayer? These PC Files Seem To Suggest That Idea
Marvel’s Spider-Man is out now for PC and is a single-player experience, with the follow-up starring Miles Morales probably coming soon. But there’s a good chance the game may be a multiplayer experience.
According to the PC version’s executable file in its folder, a Twitter user who goes by DniweTamp pointed out specific lines of text in the code mentioning “Superior Spider-Man”. This line probably applies to either Peter Parker or Miles Morales. The other line highlighted makes reference to red and blue teams along with the phrase. There’s even a line that states “If set and in co-op, Character 2 will see this text”.
This alludes to some form of competitive multiplayer mode being worked on by Insomniac, with the winner of the contest dubbed the “Superior Spider-Man”. Or even a co-operative mode for the game in the works where players team up to battle thugs across New York City.

Will There Be Multiplayer For Marvel’s Spider-Man?
For Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, maybe, since that upcoming sequel will have both Spider-Men Peter Parker and Miles Morales teaming up against Venom and other foes. There’s a good chance the aforementioned files can be a test-bed for multiplayer in the sequel; why not have that mode tested out in the original game while it’s on PC and while Insomniac has some people in its team to work on it? The possibilities are endless.
Regardless, the PC version of the PlayStation title is worth playing again if you want the definitive version that runs past 60fps.
