Capcom Holds Auction For Life-Sized Street Fighter Figures
Today was the final day of the Street Fighter “The World of Guys Stronger Than Me” exhibition in Japan, which features the life-sized statues of Chun-Li and M. Bison. Both of the figures are part of a silent auction that will be held from 13 to 31 January 2023.
For each figure or statue, the starting bid is a whopping 200,000 Japanese Yen, which is roughly around RM6,748+. Chun-Li stands at around 170cm tall, while M. Bison is 182cm tall. Despite that, Chun-Li is 10 kilograms heavier than him, at 70 kilograms. According to the official website, the organizers originally planned on scrapping the figures but decided to do otherwise when they noticed how many fans were taking pictures with them. After discussing with Capcom, they decided to do a silent auction, and a portion of the money from the auction will be donated to charity.
For Street Fighter fans outside of Japan, unfortunately, the figures will only be delivered within Japan. Street Fighter 6 is currently slated to release for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on 2 June 2023.
