Hoonigan Founder & Dirt Game Star Ken Block Killed In Accident At 55

Sad news for racing fans and video game racing fans: famous rally driver and car culture icon Ken Block, who also starred in the Dirt series of racing games, has been killed in a snowmobile accident in Utah. He was 55.

The news was published on the Hoonigan website, which is his brand of cars that have been featured in racing games like Forza Motorsport 7.

“It’s with our deepest regrets that we can confirm that Ken Block passed away in a snowmobile accident today. Ken was a visionary, a pioneer, and an icon. And most importantly, a father and a husband. He will be incredibly missed.”

Block was famous for his car builds and Gymkhana stunt videos. These cars and stunts have been prominent in the Dirt series -Colin Mcrae: Dirt 2, Dirt 3, and Dirt: Showdown.

He also appeared in the 2015 Need For Speed entry as the style icon. His Hoonigan cars have appeared in Forza Horizon 3, Forza Motorsport 7, Forza Horizon 4, and Forza Horizon 5. I’d go far as to say that the Hoonigan cars in Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Horizon 5 are the best I’ve used in-game.

Rest in peace, Ken Block, and thank you for your immense contribution to both real-life and video game motorsports culture.
