Warzone 2.0 Season 2 Introduces Major Changes To Loot, Armour & Loadouts

Infinity Ward came out with a blog post in anticipation for Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 will bring significant updates, including stability fixes, weapon balancing, and improvements to PC audio and UI.
Season 2 will see the reintroduction of 1v1 Gulag and a return to the original Warzone overtime mechanic of flag control point, known as Domination-style, replacing the current Jailer. The studio stated that they have already made changes to the existing Season 1 Gulag to accommodate 1v1 combat, while they are developing a dedicated 1v1 map for future seasons.
Additionally, players will no longer drop backpacks when they die. Instead, they will drop loot onto the ground, similar to the previous Warzone. The change is aimed at balancing engagements, as Medium/Large Backpacks will no longer be available. This means that every player will have the same backpack throughout the entire game, which will reduce the impact of stacking medical supplies, equipment, and killstreaks.
The blog reads “In our continued effort to balance engagements, Medium/Large Backpacks will no longer be available and eliminated Players will drop loot onto the ground rather than loot-filled Backpacks.
Every Player will have the same Backpack throughout the entire game which will subsequently reduce the impact of stacking medical supplies, Equipment, and Killstreaks.”
Other updates include starting all players with a 3-Plate Vest, an increase in the minimum amount of cash earned from looting, cheaper primary weapons, and buy stations. Additionally, players will be able to burst through doors while plating as if they were sprinting.
Warzone is also making changes to the loadout economy by reducing the price of Loadout Drop Markers and adding a second Loadout Drop Public Event, which will now happen on the first and fifth circles of each match. Season 2 will also introduce customizable Perk Packages, which will initially launch with a slightly reduced pool of available perks, which Infinity Ward may reintroduce over time.
