[Rumour] Call Of Duty: Mobile To Be Phased Out In Favour Of Warzone Mobile

If you’re a Call of Duty: Mobile fan, you might want to sit down for this news. Microsoft reportedly plans to phase out Call of Duty: Mobile and replace it with Warzone Mobile if the Activision acquisition goes through.

Now, don’t get me wrong – Call of Duty: Mobile (CODM) has been a massive success for Activision. VGC reported that the game had been downloaded over 650 million times and made over a billion dollars, which is no small feat. But it seems like Microsoft has its sights set on Warzone Mobile, which will feature 120 player lobbies and the fan-favourite map, Verdansk.

It’s still unclear whether Warzone Mobile will completely replace CODM or coexist alongside it. But according to CharlieIntel, Microsoft has confirmed that CODM will be phased out over time and replaced by Warzone Mobile. However, Activision has yet to confirm this.

It’s a bummer for CODM fans, but we’ll have to wait and see how this all plays out. Microsoft has revealed that Warzone Mobile will be released later in 2023, so there’s still plenty of time to enjoy CODM in the meantime. And of course, all of this is dependent on whether or not Microsoft completes its acquisition of Activision, which is currently being discussed with EU regulators.
