Resident Evil 4 Remake Sale Top 3 Million In First 2 Days
Capcom just announced that the Resident Evil 4 remake has already shipped over three million units worldwide in just the first two days after its release. The game was released on 24 March for the PS5, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, and PC via Steam.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the franchise, Resident Evil is a series of survival horror games where you have to use weapons and other items to escape terrifying situations. The first title came out way back in 1996, and now, over 27 years later, it’s still going strong with over 135 million units shipped worldwide.
The 2023 release of Resident Evil 4 is actually a remake of the original 2005 title. It’s been completely reworked with a new story and modernized gameplay, plus it has some seriously immersive visuals thanks to the cutting-edge graphics technology of Capcom’s proprietary RE ENGINE.
People have been raving about it online, especially after playing the “Chainsaw Demo” which let players try out the opening of the game. And clearly, it’s been a massive success with over three million units sold worldwide in just two days after release.
