SEGA & Tencent’s Level Infinite Are Skipping E3 2023

Sega and Tencent subsidiary Level Infinite have announced that they will not attend E3 2023. This comes just one day after Ubisoft announced that they will be skipping E3 2023 as well.

Speaking with IGN, a Sega representative said:

“After careful consideration, we have decided not to participate in E3 2023 as an exhibitor. We look forward to sharing more information on announced and unannounced projects in the future.”

IGN also contacted other game companies, including Bandai Namco, who didn’t want to comment on E3 2023 but confirmed that they will attend Geoff Keighley’s in-person, media-only event Play Days. Devolver Digital also has no plans to attend E3 2023, but they’ve never actually attended past events anyways, since they always hold their own Devolver Direct presentations.

Besides Ubisoft, Nintendo has previously also confirmed their absence.

E3 2023 is slated to take place from 13 June to 16 June 2023 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. With all these game companies out of the picture, E3’s relevance is decreasing at an alarming rate.
