Sin Chronicle Mobile RPG To End Service This May
Turns out the mobile RPG scene isn’t so hot on choose-your-own-adventure style gameplay.
Sega’s supposed hot mobile JRPG Sin Chronicle is ending its service on 31 May at 10:30 GMT+8. The game first came out on 23 March of last year; it ran for 1 year and 2 months. Here’s the schedule regarding the closure:
- 14 March: New purchases of gems discontinued
- 17 March: One-year anniversary event distribution
- 28 March: “Gunter Corps Voice Log” distribution
- 4 April: Gi-Chronicle collaboration story distribution
- 10 April: Main story chapter 6 distribution
- 31 May: Recollection content download and viewing begins
- 31 May: Service ends
- 31 May: Refund requests begin
It’s sad news, but that’s the way it is with new gacha games. Sin Chronicle is developed by the same folks behind the mobile hit Chain Chronicle; it’s more or less a follow-up to that title. In fact, Chain Chronicle is still going strong in Japan.
