This Romance Visual Novel About Taxes Will Be Out Later This Month
By Lewis Larcombe|March 22, 2023|0 Comment
If you’re into visual novels and tax returns, MSCHF Product Studio is releasing a new game called Tax Heaven 3000. It’s a free-to-play dating sim that will help prepare your 2022 federal income tax return. Yes, you read that right.
This isn’t MSCHF’s first rodeo. They’ve previously released a game called Chair Simulator and have also dabbled in sneakers, fonts, apps, colognes, bags, and other random products. But back to Tax Heaven 3000. You play as Iris, who has always dreamed of meeting someone special and filing their tax return. The game promises to be a fun mix of love and deductions.
But don’t let the fun and games fool you. The game’s description points out that tax filing in the US is a notoriously difficult and sometimes predatory process. Tax Haven 3000 aims to help players navigate this complex system while also highlighting some of its flaws.
The game will be available on Steam starting 31 March and is suitable for single filers without dependents. Oh, and just a heads up: if you die in the game, you die in real life. Okay, we’re kidding about that last part. But seriously, Tax Heaven 3000 is an interesting and unique concept that’s worth checking out if you’re looking for a new game to play.
