Dev Confirms Midnight Suns Originally Had More Content
By Alleef Ashaari|May 8, 2023|0 Comment
It looks like Marvel’s Midnight Suns could have had more content than it already has. Speaking with RockPaperShotgun, creative director Jake Solomon said that the game, which takes many hours to complete (at least 30 hours or so), was originally longer.
“It’s crazy, if you go online, you can see all the Midnight Suns cutscenes and they’re three hours long. That’s as long as a movie, we cut 30 conversations from the game, like 30 scenes. We cut a ton, because we realised this is just simply too much.”
He added the reason for the cut content:
“Number one, it’s too much for the team. They already had so much that they were working on. And two, for the player. There a lot of these things that were not necessary conversations, and so we ended up cutting [them] in the last year [of development].”
Not to worry though, even with the cut content, players have DLC like Deadpool, Venom, Morbius and Storm to look forward to. If you can rise to the challenge and successfully complete all DLC story missions for Deadpool, Venom, Morbius, and Storm, a final showdown against an age-old monster of myth awaits you. All four DLC instalments (The Good, the Bad, and the Undead; Redemption; The Hunger; and Blood Storm) will be available on launch day to PS4 and Xbox One players who purchase the Legendary Edition of the game or the Marvel’s Midnight Season Pass.
