Blumhouse Boss Answers Question On Future Of The Insidious Franchise After Insidious The Red Door
By Alleef Ashaari|July 6, 2023|0 Comment
Insidious The Red Door is the fifth entry in the Insidious franchise, which began with 2011’s Insidious. While this is being marketed as the end of a saga, many fans are wondering if this will truly be the final film in the franchise. In an interview with DiscussingFilm, Blumhouse boss Jason Blum confirms that there are no plans for a new Insidious movie anytime soon, and that the franchise will be taking a long break or hiatus.
He said:
You better see this Insidious, it’s the last one! (laughs) To give a more serious answer, [The Red Door] is going to be the last we’re going to see of Insidious for a while.
It may not be a forever rest, but it’s certainly going to be a very long rest. So, if someone comes up with some idea in 10 years, who knows? But there’s not a plan – as there has been with every prior Insidious movie – there’s no current plan in place for number six.
There you go, folks. Insidious The Red Door will be the last film in the franchise for a while, so take your chance to be scared by going to watch it at the cinemas.
Insidious The Red Door is now streaming in Malaysian cinemas. In the meantime, check out my review of the movie here.
