Former Sonic The Hedgehog Lead Yuji Naka Is Officially Sentenced To Prison

Sonic programmer and Balan Wonderworld creator Yuji Naka is in deep, with his final prison judgment being decided today.

Following his past stint with insider trading within Square Enix a few years back, a verdict has been made in Japan courts today. Yuji Naka has been given a prison sentence of two years and six months. He will be seeing four years of probation and given fines of 2 million and 170 million yen.

To recap, last year he was discovered to have been involved with insider trading and was arrested by the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office. Yuji Naka has advanced knowledge about Square Enix mobile game Dragon Quest Tact and purchased 10,000 or so shares of stock from Square Enix.
