Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 Announced For Consoles & Switch

D3 Publisher and developer Yuke’s have released the teaser trailer for Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, highlighting the game’s new content and the roster of playable characters.

Moreover, the new teaser confirms that Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2023, which takes place 21-24 September 2023 at the Makuhari Messe Exhibition Center in Chiba, Japan.

The game incorporates elements from Earth Defense Force 6, the latest entry in the series released in 2022, as well as features the “Wing Diver Shooter” that was missing from the first game. Fans can expect more than 100 Earth Defense Force Brothers and 100 missions, along with four-player team battles and other small gags. The official website has been launched, but there has been no announcement of a Western release.

The first Earth Defense Force: World Brothers explores a parallel world that is made of digital blocks. After the world shatters into pieces, players must battle enemies and save Earth before it is completely destroyed. Earth Defense Force: World Brothers defeated the Dark Tyrant, but Gaiark will appear as a new threat in the upcoming sequel. This latest entry is filled with more love for the Earth Defense Force series and planet Earth than ever before.

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 is scheduled for release on PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch in 2024 in Japan.
