By Xandria Morden|September 15, 2023|0 Comment
It’s almost Genshin Impact’s 3rd Anniversary! Has it really been this long since the beloved HoYoverse title was released? With Fontaine being added in very recently, there is so much more to explore and expand in Genshin. The 4.1 update will introduce fresh Fontaine characters, unveil captivating Archon Quests, expand the Fontaine map, and introduce formidable new bosses.
Genshin Impact 4.1 is slated for release on 27th of September and will last until 8th of November.
The initial phase is set to commence on 27th of September and conclude on 18th of October, followed by the second phase kicking off on 18th October and wrapping up on 8th of November.
The livestream has confirmed that Wriothesley and Monsieur Neuvilette, the Chief Justice of Fontaine will be the new banners coming with this new update. Wriothesley will wield the power of Cryo, while Monsieur Neuvilette, will harness the element of Hydro.
We will be getting Monsieur Neuvilett and Hu Tao for first half of the event. Wriothesley and Venti will be joining us in the second half.
The two weapons that will be in the banner rotations are:
The Tome of Eternal Flow is Monsieur Neuvillette’s signature weapon whereas Cashflow Supervision is Wriothesley’s signature weapon.
The Dockhand’s Assitant and Portable Power Saw share the same passive effect:
“When the wielder is healed or heals others, they will gain a Stoic’s Symbol that lasts 30s, up to a maximum of 3 Symbols. When using their Elemental Skill or Burst, all Symbols will be consumed and the Roused effect will be granted for 10s. For each Symbol consumed, gain 40 Elemental Mastery, and 2s after the effect occurs, 2 Energy per Symbol consumed will be restored for said character. The Roused effect can be triggered once every 15s, and Symbols can be gained even when the character is not on the field.”
Similarly, Range Gauge and Prospector’s Drill also share the same passive effect:
“For each Symbol consumed, gain 3% ATK and 7% All Elemental DMG Bonus. The Struggle effect can be triggered once every 15s, and Symbols can be gained even when the character is not on the field.”
For the upcoming 4.1 Update there will be two available archon quests, Act III: To the Stars Shining in the Depths and Act IV: Cataclysm’s Quickening.
Mr Handsome gets his quest as well although the date was not announced.
Wriothesley will also have his story quest coming with this update and the date is yet to be announced.

Frost Operatives and Wind Operatives (Seneschal of Frost and Seneschal of Wind) who work under Arlecchino will be coming with this update. These Fatui enemies are also expected to drop new types of materials, which will be used as weapon ascension materials.
The Millennial Pearl Seahorse is expected to drop ascension materials for Neuvillette despite being an Electro Elemental being. The boss boasts an area-of-effect (AoE) skill with an extensive range, posing a challenge for players who may struggle to evade it if they aren’t swift enough. Furthermore, it has a dash ability and the capability to fire projectiles that track their target.
Interestingly, despite being an Electro Elemental entity, the Millennial Pearl Seahorse is anticipated to yield ascension materials crucial for Neuvillette’s progression.
The Experimental Field Generator appears to very aggressive and has many AoE skills that have a massive range. The new boss also possesses the ability to launch various types of homing projectiles. It’s important to note that for Wriothesley’s ascension, he will rely on the materials provided by the Experimental Field Generator.
We’re seeing some expansion to Fontaine with this update. The east part of Fontaine will be explored this time, and it unlocks the prison realm where the next Archon quest and exploration is set to be.
Not only is there an expansion towards the prison realm, there will be a new cave where players can explore to check and solve strange phenomenons.
For those acquainted with Honkai: Star Rail’s daily task setup, Genshin Impact Version 4.1 will introduce a similar feature. In this new version, you’ll have the option to engage in multiple adventure encounters according to your preference, all contributing to your Encounter Points.
If you’d rather focus on gathering materials and participating in events rather than the customary Daily Commissions, this will be a viable alternative!
