The Infinix GT 10 Pro Is The Ultimate Gaming Companion

GIVE THE DESIGNER A HUGE RAISE. One look at this phone and it screams “I AM A GAMER”. I have always loved Infinix designs but this one tops the rest for sure. Now with a captivating design, it also hits heavy on the specs which is a +++ for me! The Infinix GT 10 PRO’s design is heavily inspired by the Cyberpunk sci-fi sub-genre.

Not only is this budget smartphone designed to make a statement, while other brands are removing chargers and headphones from their purchase, in the box, Infinix provides a 45W charger, a unique USB-C cable, a clear TPU case, and a tempered glass screen protector. Here’s the best part, the box it comes in can be reused as a speaker and also a charging dock for the phone. Now how many brands can say they do that?

As usual, Infinix offers a top-tier gaming experience at an accessible price point.

Chic and On Trend

The phone comes in 2 colours, Mirage Silver and Cyber Black. The Cyber-Mecha design in black really looks sleek and classy. The back of the phone has 3 cameras and has an LED indicator right beside the cameras. What’s more gamer than having some LED lights honestly? A bit of a disappointment however to find out that the only part that lights up on the back are the white bars. This is different from what the design suggests. These bars only light up when gaming, getting notifications or calls, and when the device is charging.

If you’ve read my previous reviews on the Infinix phones, the one complaint I’ve always had about them is it being a bit too bulky for my usage. I’m not exactly a mobile gamer, I log on here and there on my phone just to play some Honkai: Star Rail, but it’s never for long. I then decided to ask the opinion of my younger sibling who is a Mobile Legends addict really. Their opinion is that it fits just right and the rectangular corners make it so that it’s actually easier and more comfortable to hold the phone for long gaming hours.

An Infinix Amount of Customization

I’m a very ‘customize everything according to my aesthetic’ kind of person. The GT 10 PRO is PERFECT for that. You have a lot of options to customize, including your home screen. You can change the grid size, use gestures, and adjust notification badges. You can also switch from horizontal to vertical scrolling and change the text colour.

The Infinix GT 10 Pro has a flat 6.67-inch FullHD Plus AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. When it comes to performance, the Dimensity 8050 shines in everyday use. It stays cool and smooth when scrolling through social media or taking photos. The Dimensity 8050 chip also has both fast and efficient cores. It includes four quick Cortex-A78 cores – one Super Core clocked at up to 3GHz and three Performance Cores reaching up to 2.6GHz. The chip also holds a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. It’s connected to 8GB of physical RAM and 512GB of storage that can’t be expanded.

Infinix also enhances Android 13 using their own XOS 13 skin which aimed for a close resemblance to pure Android looks and minimized bloatware. However, there’s a notable presence of pre-installed apps and heavy UI customization. On the bright side, XOS 13 runs fluidly, handling the app load without any slowdowns. Infinix has definitely succeeded in this aspect.

Gaming Worthy

After 3 hours of playing Mobile Legends on it, the phone still did not feel hot, and the battery percentage was only down to about 70%, this was not even using the optimized settings. While gaming on the Infinix GT10 Pro, it was a surprisingly smooth experience. I tested out some Honkai: Star Rail, some Mobile Legends, and even PUBG. Everything ran without issues. Infinix has also teamed up with PUBG and Free Fire to make sure the device runs smoothly at 90Hz, and you can definitely see the difference in the gameplay.

You’ll find a Game Mode toggle and settings menu that lets you adjust how resources are managed throughout the system. The GT 10 Pro also includes Monster Game Kit and Dar-Link, which claim AI-driven game optimization—covering frame rates, touch latency reduction, and hardware performance/temperature management. Bypass Charging, meanwhile, resides within the Game Mode menu.

The XArena app functions as a game launcher and incorporates several tweaks, such as the ability to suppress notifications. When you add an app to XArena and launch it from there, you also gain access to an in-game toolbar offering convenient shortcuts, including floating app support.

The omni-directional sensing engine brings 4D vibration technology that lets you feel each game bump and shot. Plus, the linear motor gives accurate feedback for bullet impacts, vibrating across the device. The high-precision gyroscope makes racing and FPS games smooth and fun.

A Close-to-Ordinary Camera

As I mentioned earlier, the GT Pro has 3 cameras. The main camera is 108MP which is on the back of the phone and the 32MP camera is in front. As usual, the Infinix cameras perform decent when there is enough light available but still struggle to produce good photos in low light.

The GT 10 Pro relies on a hybrid dual speaker setup, and in terms of audio quality, the speakers do just about fine.

TOP TIER

The Infinix GT 10 Pro may not be a top-tier smartphone, but it certainly holds its own in the highly competitive midrange category. In all honesty, I can confidently say that it delivers way above its price. It delivers exceptional value with its impressive performance, a robust OLED display, accelerated charging, generous 256GB internal storage, and reliable camera capabilities.

I’m going to give this a solid 80/100!
