Mojang Studios, the creative force behind the sandbox sensation Minecraft, has officially announced the return of Minecraft Live on October 15, 2023. This eagerly awaited news was delivered through an endearing teaser trailer that was recently unveiled. The best part? Fans can undoubtedly look forward to the resurgence of the beloved Minecraft community tradition: the mob vote.
In the previous year, a lot of exciting features were introduced in Minecraft’s 1.20 update, including the introduction of the camel mob, the incorporation of bamboo materials into crafting, and the addition of craftable items like hanging signs and chiseled bookshelves. Furthermore, fans had the chance to cast their votes for a new mob to be integrated into the game, ultimately resulting in the Sniffer securing the majority of the fan base’s approval. With the return of this community activity, players are undoubtedly buzzing with excitement, eager to discover what choices Minecraft will present to them this year.
An adorable trailer announcing the event for October 15, 2023, at 1:00 PM EDT was released in which the two-minute clip showcased key gameplay aspects and features of the sandbox title. It also confirmed the return of the beloved fan vote, which enthusiasts can participate in through multiple channels: the live event server, website, or game launcher. Additionally, the teaser hinted at exciting news and updates to be unveiled during Minecraft Live 2023.
Minecraft hasn’t shared details about the three mobs for the vote yet. The only thing they’ve let us know as of now is that voting starts on October 13, 2023, at 1:00 PM EDT and closes on October 15, 2023, at 1:15 PM EDT.
Minecraft is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and legacy platforms.
