Activision Tease New Warzone Map Ahead Of Call of Duty: Next Event

Activision just dropped a sneak peek of the next map in Call of Duty Warzone, and let’s just say it’s got us all hyped up! Before the big reveal later this week, they teased us with a sweet image of the upcoming map. This map is gonna be a part of the Warzone action, mixing it up with the new Modern Warfare III.

The teaser image spills the beans on what we can expect: a port area decked out with cranes and a bunch of shipping containers. And if that’s not enough, there’s a whole cityscape in the background, complete with a skyscraper under construction.

But wait, there’s more! The image drop is all in preparation for the Call of Duty: Next livestream, set for 5 October at 9:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM (BST), or for all you Southeast Asians, it’s 6 October at 12:00 AM. This stream is gonna serve up some juicy details about Modern Warfare III, including the multiplayer modes with a side of Zombies, plus some fresh Call of Duty Warzone goodness and even a taste of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.

And if that’s not enough to get your trigger finger itching, Activision’s got something extra for you. They’ve released a video diving into the snazzy new weapon customization features for Modern Warfare III, which you can check out below.

According to the folks at Activision, these “Aftermarket Parts” are like a whole new way to jazz up your weapons. They’re like remixes for your guns, giving you a fresh spin on a weapon you thought you’d already mastered. It’s all about adding a whole new layer to your gunplay that regular attachments just can’t deliver. Powerful stuff!

Zach Hodson, the design director, sums it up nicely: “They’re nearly a new gun. [Aftermarket Parts] are powerful, meaningful changes to these weapons.”

And for all you PS4 and PS5 fans out there, the first of two Modern Warfare III multiplayer beta weekends starts on 6 October, exclusively for you.

So mark your calendars for 10 November, because Modern Warfare III is coming in hot, and it’s shaping up to be a direct sequel to last year’s epic Modern Warfare II. Sledgehammer Games is taking the reins, teaming up with Infinity Ward, while Treyarch’s got your back with the Zombies mode. Get ready for some serious gaming action!
