[Rumor] Santa Monica Studio Is Working On New God Of War Content
If you thought last year’s hit PlayStation action game God of War Ragnarok was it for father-son duo Kratos and Atreus, you’re probably wrong.
While there’s no official news yet, there has been some rumblings that game studio Santa Monica Studio is hard at work on a project or two. One of them, according to insider ViewerAnon, is new God of War content. Whether it’ll be a Ragnarok DLC/expansion, or a half-sequel not unlike Uncharted Lost Legacy remains to be seen.
The tweet from ViewerAnon is a reply to an IGN editorial concerning the future of triple-A game releases where it’s going to be standalone expansions and “half sequels”. Examples are mostly from PlayStation’s side ranging from Horizon Forbidden West: The Burning Shore to the Uncharted Lost Legacy standalone game, to even Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Personally, I’m itching to see what Santa Monica Studios is up to with a God of War Ragnarok follow-up, be it an expansion or “half-sequel”. There’s a good number of post-game dialogue to keep track in the game, so it’ll be good to see some resolution in a future title.
