Platform Fighting Game Combo Devils Unveiled For PC

Publisher and developer California-based indie studio, Punkzilla has announced Combo Devils, a new fighting game that bridges the gap between platform fighters and traditional fighting games, according to them. The game promises campaign and versus mode, minigames, rewards, cosmetics, and much more.

Combo Devils is an innovative advancement within the platform fighting genre. Its primary objective is to deliver a captivating one-on-one fighting game experience that truly values creativity and dedication. Players who appreciate other traditional fighting games and platform fighters will find Combo Devils both familiar and refreshingly novel.

There are three core gameplay modes in Combo Devils: Competitive 1v1, Campaign, and Roguelike with challenging bosses and mobs. Here are the highlighted features introduced in the game:

  • Platformer-Beat em’ Up Roguelite: Players are thrust into the game either solo or with friends to explore and survive tough challenges. Each character possesses unique traits and can search for items to defeat tough bosses and overcome difficult levels.
  • Campaign Mode: Provides a comprehensive learning experience for players by featuring levels that serve as tutorials to teach the game mechanics enjoyably. These tutorials are cleverly disguised as platformer campaigns, providing an element of challenge and immersion.
  • Versus Mode: With the game’s premiere gameplay mode, players will be rewarded for learning the nuanced fighting styles of every character.
  • Rewards and Cosmetics: Unlock cosmetics and rewards that tell you more about your character’s past.
  • Minigames: Play minigames from Campaign and Roguelite modes, including Soccer Mode, Target Test, and Racing.
  • Tournament Value: The folks at Punkzilla have a deep passion for promoting fighting game tournaments. Their primary goal is to support players by organizing tournaments and raising funds to establish significant prize pools. These prize pools are awarded to players based on their performance in Combo Devils.
  • Rollback Netcode: Designed with Rollback Netcode to support a smooth online gameplay experience.
  • Familiar Movement: Those who are familiar with other fast-paced platform fighters will feel right at home in this one. Although the game’s release date is still unknown, players can wishlist Combo Devils on Steam now.
