How To Find & Fight Katsuhiro Harada In Tekken 8

Tekken 8 is now available for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. You can check out my full review of the game by heading here. There are multiple modes in the latest entry of the iconic fighting game franchise, but did you know that you can actually fight a virtual version of Tekken franchise creator Katsuhiro Harada himself?

Yes, you can!

I was extremely surprised when I saw him in the game, and I was even more surprised when I realized that I could actually fight him (or at least, a virtual AI NPC version of him).

Here’s how to find Katsuhiro Harada in Tekken 8:

Step One: Play And Complete The Arcade Quest Mode

The Arcade Quest mode is basically a sort of virtual simulation mode where you play as an aspiring Tekken player who’s going pro. How this works is that you’ll create your own unique avatar and visit virtual arcades to defeat virtual NPCs in fights. There’s a barebones story in this mode but none of it matters, since the purpose of the Arcade Quest mode is just more of an extended tutorial of sorts for the new mechanics in Tekken 8.

It only takes several hours (it took me around two hours) to finish the Arcade Quest mode. Don’t worry about it being hard. My skill level is barely around the Normal/Standard difficulty in Tekken terms and I managed to go through it with almost zero complications.

Completing the Arcade Quest mode will then unlock the Super Ghost Battle mode…

Step Two: Go To Super Ghost Battle Mode And That’s Where You’ll Find Harada

Simply start the Super Ghost Battle Mode and you’ll find Harada there.

There are two ways to start the fight with him:

You can find Harada in that cramped room, and talk to him for a hilarious exchange of words before you start fighting him.

However, you can also start the fight by going to the arcade console and choosing him from a list of CPU names. Harada is at the top of the list because he’s the “Tekken God”.

Again, he’s not that hard, and this feels more like just a funny little easter egg instead of a hard challenge for skilled players or anything.

“Tekken God?” Watch me kick his butt below:
