Narrative Adventure Game Open Roads Delayed To March 2024

Publisher Annapurna Interactive and developer Open Roads Team have confirmed their anticipated narrative adventure game, Open Roads, will be delayed for a month instead of its previously planned 22 February 2024 release window.
Announced in a press statement, the cause of the delay was made to “ensure the most polished experience for players”. The anticipated delay is approximately one month, although additional time is always employed to enhance the overall quality of the final product.
Open Roads is an upcoming narrative-driven adventure that delves into themes of self-discovery and family secrets. The tale is centred around a mother and daughter who embark on a cross-country journey to unravel the long-abandoned family properties. The game was first announced in 2020, but now, after a small delay, it is almost ready for its worldwide release.
This game will be voiced by Keri Russell, known for her work in The Americans and Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, and Kaitlyn Dever from Booksmart and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
One possible reason for the new release date could be to avoid competition with a flurry of high-profile titles scheduled for launch in February. That month is filled with highly anticipated releases such as Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Helldivers 2, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. With this new date, Open Roads may have a better chance of standing out.
Open Roads will launch for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on 29 March 2024.
