ROG Phone 8 Series Unveiled by ASUS ROG at CES 2024

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) is starting the year with a big bang. Today they have announced the ROG Phone 8 series, a sleek, trendy phone that offers unbridled performance. The ROG Phone 8 series will tentatively be launched in Malaysia this 30th January 2023.

The Phone 8 Series comes in 2 colours, black and grey. The premium phone is also slimmer, lighter, and offers a multitude of benefits to gamers, streamers and content creators alike. It guarantees ultra performance with the formidable Snapdragon® 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, supported by 8533 Mbps LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. This series is the world’s first IP68 gaming phone! If you’re in for some long gaming hours and worried about overheating, the Rapid-Cooling Conductor design — part of the advanced GameCool 8 thermal design — conducts heat directly from the processor to the back cover.

The display features a brand new  6.78″ 165 Hz flexible AMOLED ultra-slim bezel 2500-nit screen with LTPO adaptive refresh and ultra-smooth 720 Hz touch sampling rate. Peak brightness is now boosted to 2500 nits so don’t worry about that sunlight. There is an advanced tri-camera system with OZO Audio technology. The main camera is a 50 MP main with 6-Axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer 3.0; and it has a 13 MP ultrawide with free-form lens for the selfie camera; 32 MP telephoto with 3X optical zoom and OIS.

The Phone 8 series features four gaming-friendly AI features in the ROG Phone 8 series elevate the gaming experience to a new level. Gamers can now shift to the background with Background Mode or capture key moments with X Capture. There is an  intuitive AI Grabber for text capture and the X Sense further elevate the gaming experience by offering tips and assistance.

There is also an exclusive customizable secondary Mini LED display on ROG Phone 8 Pro and ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition models. This is where you can go crazy with expressing your individuality and creativity.
