Fantastic Four Director Deletes Instagram Account After Seemingly Confirming Reed Richards Actor

Since last year, there have been rumours and reports of acclaimed actor Pedro Pascal getting cast as Reed Richards AKA Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, that might finally have been confirmed as of today; Fantastic Four director Matt Shakman has deleted his Instagram account after accidentally sharing a post that states Pedro Pascal is playing Reed Richards.

At the time of writing, Disney and Marvel Studios have yet to officially comment on the matter. As of now, it’s certainly suspicious so we’ll have to wait for official news, which surely won’t be long now considering that the Fantastic Four movie is only one year plus away at this point.

The MCU’s Fantastic Four is currently slated to release on 2 May 2025.

Pascal is best known for many roles, including Game Of Thrones, The Mandalorian and of course, The Last Of Us. Courtesy of HBO Asia, we were lucky enough to be the only Malaysian media to participate in interviews with Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey earlier this year.
