Hazbin Hotel’s ‘Loser, Baby’ Debuts On Billboard Hot 100

Prime Video’s surprising hit animated musical series, Hazbin Hotel has entered the Billboard Under Hot 100 with not just one but two songs: Poison and Loser Baby.

As of writing, Loser Baby currently holds the number one position while Poison takes the second spot. Both songs have been highly praised by fans and critics alike, with Loser Baby being hailed as one of the best offerings in the series. The lyrical content of the song reflects the idea that one’s own difficult life is not something that should be viewed as a big deal, as long as they have someone by their side. The song conveys this message through a gritty and brutally honest portrayal of living in Hell.

However, Loser Baby also possesses a lighter tone, with Angel Dust and Husk dancing to changing backgrounds as they celebrate their identities. Keith David’s exceptional vocals, as the character of Husk, elevate the song into a powerful ballad that reveals a more vulnerable side of the demons. The song also underscores the fact that, while not all demons aspire to redemption, they do possess thoughts and emotions.

Whereas Poison is the second song from the Hazbin Hotel soundtrack and was revealed in the fourth episode of the first season of Hazbin Hotel. This song opens up more of Angel Dust’s story while giving it a tragic undertone about sexual assault.

In this song, Angel Dust expresses his longing to put an end to the constant abuse he faces and his guilt following an altercation with Charlie. As the main actor at the porn studio, Angel finds himself trapped in a cycle of abuse at the hands of his cruel bosses. This emotional song has the ability to resonate with those who are trapped in a toxic environment, whether it’s an abusive relationship or a toxic workplace.

The new adult animation series unfolds in the depths of Hell, where Charlie Morningstar, the offspring of Lucifer, embarks on a transformative journey. Determined to address the challenges of overpopulation and provide opportunities for redemption, she establishes an unconventional hotel. This non-violent solution offers demons a chance to change their ways and earn their place in Heaven.
