Elden Ring IP Is Now Fully Owned by FromSoftware

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the new DLC for Elden Ring that’s been delayed quite a bit now. Elden Ring has been out for 2 years now and fans still have not lost interest in it, looking for various ways to keep the game fresh, including modding the game.

It’s been confirmed that FromSoftware, the studio that brought us Elden Ring, has now acquired and also fully owns the IP to the game! The game was a joint effort from both FromSoftware and Bandai Namco. Bandai Namco signed over the ownership rights in April 2023. Tencent and Sony both chipped in and has 30% of the share.

This is also most likely why the DLC has been continuously delayed as the team might have been busy securing the rights. We’re happy for the team at FromSoftware, but also, does this mean we will finally see the DLC in the coming months? The DLC is expected to offer fans at least 20 hours of content!
