Palworld: A Beginner’s Guide To Breeding

Breeding in Palworld is not as simple as it sounds. Sure, you stuff a male and a female pal together in a space and BOOM, a new pal. But the process to breeding is a little more complicated than that. It’s lengthy and man is it heckin expensive. I’ll walk you through it and show you where you need to go to get what you need.

To breed, you’ll need a Breeding Farm which you will unlock at level 19.

Now, the hardest part of breeding is making cake. Yes, you heard me. Delicious cake. Even pals need some dessert! Now what’s so hard about making this cake? Well, obtaining honey. One cake will also make one egg, and that’s why it’s sooo expensive.

LET THEM EAT CAKE

You can buy every other ingredient pretty easily at the Small Settlement near Desolate Church on the map. There’s a merchant there who will happily sell you some ingredients.

If you’d like to produce everything yourself, then the most optimum way is to build a ranch and then capture and assign Chikipee, Mozzarina, and Beegarde to produce eggs, milk, and honey respectively. Make sure your wheat plantation and any red berry plantations you already have are being worked, too, so you can process all your wheat into flour at the mill.

HONEY, HONEY

At lower levels, it’s pretty tough to get some honey for your baking needs. One of the easiest ways for you to get honey is by capturing/killing little Cinnamoths! They’re little moths fluttering around, pretty close by to the starting area.

You can find Cinnamoths here on the map at Cinnamoth Forest:

As you level higher, you’ll be able to explore a bit more and you’ll find Beegardes or the Alpha Elizabee. You can find these pals on the white marker!

After you’ve got the cake, you’ll have to pick the pals you want to breed. The first step is to pick w male and a female, and you can see this when you inspect them via the gender symbol next to their name. You should pick Lucky Pals, Alpha Pals or your rarest pals. These pals produce huge eggs and will give you better offspring. Remember to pick Pals with rare or valuable traits so they get passed on to the pal you breed.

Toss them into the Breeding Farm and after some time you’ll get an egg! Place the egg in an Egg Incubator and wait for your little young one to appear. Now the process of breeding is expensive and extensive, so be prepared to keep breeding quite a bit before eventually getting what you want!

As I’ve mentioned, you may be able to control wht kind of Pals you get when you breed two different species of Pals, but you can’t directly control what their Traits, Stats, and Gender will be. So go forth and breed your little pals, friends!
