Tekken 8 New Update Announced, Add Measures In Ranked Match

Bandai Namco has revealed the patch notes 1.02.01 along with the time and release date when it will be applied on Tekken 8.

The patch will be applied on 28 February at 6:00 PM (PST) /  28 February at 10:00 AM (MYT). Server maintenance is set to run from 28 February, 5:30 PM (PST) until midnight. During this time, the server will undergo maintenance, and all players will be temporarily unable to access online content.

The patch will bring several enhancements and new features to the game. One of the highlights is the UT×TEKKEN in-game collaboration, although specific details of this collaboration have not yet been disclosed. Another new addition is the TEKKEN SHOP, which will allow players to customize their characters using various cosmetics and skins. The update also focuses on security and fair play, taking action against reported cheaters in Ranked Match, who will be removed from the leaderboards and have their ranks reset back to Beginner.

The patch notes 1.02.01 will include not only bug fixes and gameplay improvements but also specific adjustments to certain character techniques to ensure competitive balance. Additionally, the patch will include performance enhancements aimed at optimizing the gameplay experience for all players.

In light of the ongoing modifications being made to the battle system in Tekken 8, the replays from the current build of the game will be permanently deleted or made inaccessible. Simultaneously, the Super Ghost Battle data will be adjusted to match the current state of the game.

Tekken 8 is out now for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam.
