Bandai Namco announced that they will be releasing a new 2D side-scrolling action RPG based on the popular manga and anime series, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. The game is titled That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Isekai Chronicles and will be the first game based on this property to be released on consoles and PC.
The upcoming game will introduce a new original story alongside two new adventures from the original author. Players will take on the role of Rimuru Tempest, the protagonist of the manga/anime series. Rimuru’s ultimate goal is to develop the Jura Tempest Federation and establish it as a peaceful and prosperous nation.
One of the key features of the game is the city-building element, where you can develop and expand Jura Tempest. As you progress through the game and meet new allies, your village will grow from a small village to a thriving community. By constructing various buildings, players can help strengthen the residents and improve their quality of life, especially for combat.
Players can also leave town and explore the expansive world of Tempest, where they encounter formidable foes and challenging bosses. In this thrilling adventure, players can engage in exhilarating action battles that combine visually stunning special moves with formidable combo attacks. By strengthening their connections with allies, Rimuru can unlock powerful Special Attacks and even receive invaluable support from their allies during Rimiru’s offensive manoeuvres.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Isekai Chronicles is scheduled for release on 8 August 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
