LEGO’s Space-Themed Event Lands in One Utama this Month

The popular toy brand LEGO has unveiled an out-of-this-world adventure that is set to captivate children and adults alike in Malaysia. The brand-new space theme event called Lost in Space: A Mission to Return Home, is set to take place from 21 May – 4 June at LG Oval, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya.

Children and visitors will embark on a thrilling adventure as they navigate through the universe using LEGO bricks. This interactive experience will ignite their creativity and encourage them to overcome challenges, the ultimate goal being their successful return to Earth.

The event begins with a special space mission card, which will guide participants through a series of challenges at designated mission stations. By completing the challenges, participants will receive stamps to mark their progress. Completion of the mission card provides children with the opportunity to redeem an exclusive mini LEGO Space Shuttle, while stocks last.

To make the entire experience even more immersive, the mall will be transformed into a galactic extravaganza, providing children with ample space to explore and discover in a multitude of ways. They will be free to let their imaginations soar as they immerse themselves in a world where anything is possible.

The fun doesn’t end there! Join the hunt to find Benny and his friends who crash-landed in Malaysia on their way to the LEGO Lost in Space: A Mission to Return Home event. From 21 May to 12 June, families can embark on a combined physical and digital scavenger hunt to locate Benny and his crew.

Look for them hidden around the 1 Utama event space, on the LEGO Lazada homepage, and LEGO Official Facebook Page. To participate, families will need to upload screenshots and photos of the minifigures holding an emergency radio using the hashtag #LEGOSpaceLostInMY on Facebook or Instagram. The top six participants with the most number of eligible minifigures found and located will win amazing prizes such as:

Grand Prize 1x

  • 2 Days 1 Night LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort tickets for a family of 4.
  • 1 LEGO Space set worth RM900.00.

Runner-Up Prize 4x

  • 2 tickets to LEGOLAND Park.
  • 1 LEGO Space set worth RM150.00.

Consolation Prize 1x

  • 2 tickets to LEGOLAND Park.

To bring the excitement of space exploration closer to home, several recommended LEGO playsets offer children the chance to ignite their passion for this captivating field. One such set is the 60431 Space Explorer Rover and Alien Life, which provides an opportunity to construct a space exploration vehicle. This playset boasts robust suspension and the inclusion of six large tyres, enabling it to navigate uneven and rocky terrain with ease. Additionally, the set features adorable aliens and a minifigure of an astronaut, adding a touch of fun and adventure to the overall play experience.

For aspiring space explorers looking to take their passion a step further, the 42605 Mars Space Base and Rocket set is an excellent choice. Recommended for children eight years of age and above, this set not only includes a rocket but also an exploration rover and a modular research base. It also comes with three mini-dolls, a cat figure, and various other accessories, providing ample opportunities for imaginative play

The 31152 Space Astronaut, a 3-in-1 building set offers children the chance to embark on thrilling astronaut adventures, create their own space dog, or soar through the galaxy in a Viper jet. Not only does this set provide children with endless possibilities, but it also makes a fantastic bedroom accessory.

If they prefer a more hands-on approach, they can opt for the 42181 VTOL Heavy Cargo Spaceship LT81, which is perfect for thrilling cargo transport missions. This spaceship comes equipped with a mini space rover, allowing children to explore distant planets.

The sets are available at LEGO Certified Stores, LEGO Official Stores on LazadaShopee, Legoland, and major retailers and department stores in Malaysia.
