VALORANT Masters Shanghai Schedule & Matchups Announced
By Lewis Larcombe|May 15, 2024|0 Comment
The time has come! Riot Games has unveiled the schedule and matchups for VALORANT Masters Shanghai, set to run from 23 May to 9 June. This second Masters event of the year will feature twelve of the world’s best teams.
Champions of Stage 1 from each league—Asia-Pacific (Paper Rex), China (EDward Gaming), EMEA (Fnatic), and Americas (100 Thieves)—have secured a direct spot in the Playoffs. The remaining eight teams will battle through the Swiss stage from 23–27 May.
The action kicks off with T1 facing G2 Esports, and the first day’s finale will see Team Heretics against Dragon Ranger Gaming. The next day promises excitement with Gen.G taking on Leviatán and a showdown between FunPlus Phoenix and FUT Esports.
Teams must secure two wins before accumulating two losses to advance from the Swiss stage. All matches will be best-of-three. Four teams from this stage will join the top-seeded teams in the double-elimination Playoffs starting May 30.
Introducing a new playoff format, the top-seeded teams will be randomly drawn into the pick order and will choose their first-round opponents.
The first ten days will take place at the 400-seat VCT CN Arena, then move to the historic Mercedes-Benz Arena, an 18,000-seat venue—the largest in VALORANT Champions Tour history. This venue has hosted prestigious events like the 2023 LPL Spring Finals and Dota 2’s The International 9.
So in short here’s a brief rundown of the schedule for VALORANT Masters Shanghai:
