Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns Contra DLC – All New Evolutions & Unlocks

Poncle’s Vampire Survivors is teaming up with Konami for a crossover unlike any other. No, serious.

Instead of the obvious Castlevania route, the bullet heaven game is getting a visit from Konami’s run-and-gun shooter spectacular Contra via a new DLC called Operation Guns. It’s full of new characters like Bill and Lance (and Hard Corps’ Brad Fang) and new weapons like the Spread Gun. All these need to be unlocked by playing through the new Neo Galuga stage and using the characters you’re given. Here’s a guide on how to do all that.

Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns Contra DLC All New Weapon Evolutions

There are a ton of new weapons courtesy of the new unlockable characters. Here’s how to unlock characters & weapon evolutions.

Characters

Bill Rizer – Bill is in a coffin on the Neo Galuga map. Go all the way to the east; while you’re crossing the bridge, do get the map on the way to unlock the lay of the land. Once you tracked him down, just quit the game and purchase him on the character select screen to unlock him.

Lance Bean – You can unlock Lance by evolving Bill’s Long Gun. To evolve it, you have to get Weapon Power-Up which is available on the Neo Galuga map. Once the Long Gun evolves to Prototype A, just quit the game and you can then purchase Lance on the character select screen.

Ariana – You can unlock Ariana by evolving Lance’s Short Gun. To evolve it, you have to get the Bracer and a Weapon Power-Up on Neo Galuga. Once it’s evolved to Prototype B, just quit the game and then buy Ariana on the character select screen.

Lucia – You can unlock Lucia by evolving Ariana’s Spread Shot. Rank up Ariana’s Spread Shot to level eight, get a level eight Empty Tome, and then grab a Weapon Power-Up. Once it’s evolved, just quit the game and then buy Lucia on the character select screen.

Brad Fang – Open the coffin on Hectic Highway

Browny – Evolve the Fire Arm, which is Brad Fang’s weapon. Firearm + Weapon Power-Up + Candelabrador = Fire-L3GS

Sheena Etranzi – Evolve the Sonic Bloom, which is Browny’s weapon. Sonic Bloom + Weapon Power-Up + Armor = Wave Beam

Probotector – Find 14 Barriers on Neo Galuga.

Stanley Ironside – Find 21 Rapid Fires on Neo Galuga.

Newt Plissken – Find 28 Grenades on Neo Galuga.

Simondo – Evolve the Diver Mines. Diver Mines + Weapon Power-Up + Attractorb = Atmo-Torpedo

Colonel Bahamut – Defeat Big Fuzz in Neo Galuga (the giant robot at the end of Neo Galuga).

Weapon Evolutions

Long Gun + Weapon Power-Up = Prototype A

Short Gun + Weapon Power-Up + Bracer = Prototype B

Spread Shot + Weapon Power-Up + Empty Tome = Prototype C

C-U-Laser + Weapon Power-Up + Tirajisu (formerly known as Tiragisu) = Pronto Beam

Firearm + Weapon Power-Up + Candelabrador = Fire-L3GS

Sonic Bloom + Weapon Power-Up + Armor = Wave Beam

Homing Miss + Weapon Power-Up + Duplicator = Multistage Missiles

Diver Mines + Weapon Power-Up + Attractorb = Atmo-Torpedo

Blade Crossbow + Weapon Power-Up + Clover = BFC2000-AD

Prism Lass + Weapon Power-Up + Wings = Time Warp

Metal Claw + Weapon Power-Up + Hollow Heart = Big Fuzzy Fist

How To Unlock Hectic Highway

To unlock this secret stage, survive Neo Galuga using Lucia and evolve her C-U Laser. To do this, you need the Tirajisu and Weapon Power Up.

How To Unlock Hyper Neo Galuga

To unlock the hyper version of Neo Galuga, just defeat Taka in Neo Galuga. Taka is the giant alien turtle who debuted in Contra 3.
