Cygames’ Horse Girl Racing Game To Finally Get English Version
After 4 long years, Cygames’ big multimedia anime/manga/game combo series featuring horse-girl racers will have its game out in English.
Cygames officially announced that it’s making an English version of Uma Musume: Pretty Derby along with a teaser site and YouTube channel (with a sole announcement trailer) to go with it. No official release window has been announced, but we’re guessing it will be out in English for USA, Europe, and Asia territories later in 2024.
Tracen Academy awaits, trainers!

So what the **** is an Uma Musume?
Uma Musume means “Horse Girl” and the game is what is advertised on the title: girls with ears/tails of horses and their speed and endurance racing each other for glory, fortune, & recognition. The main characters are named after real-life racehorses like Special Week and Silence Suzuka.
Uma Musume, the iOS and Android game, is a gacha title where you train your chosen horse girl, bond with them, and make them place high in many, many races (or place 1st). It’s one of Cygames’ biggest moneymakers, grossing US$965 million in Japan by 16 December 2021, and is still making bank since. Collectible horse girls, anime vibes, sports manga/anime feel, easy-to-follow gameplay: no wonder it did well in Japan.
