HBO received 31 Emmy wins at the 75th annual Emmy Awards and across the Creative Arts Ceremonies. Making it the most winning network and streaming service (Max) for the 22nd time in the last 30 years. Additionally, this marks the 24th time in the past 30 years that the HBO brand has either won the most or tied for the most winning network.

Highlights include:

• Succession won the Emmy® for OUTSTANDING DRAMA SERIES for the third time (the series previously won in 2022 for season 3 and 2020 for season 2) and 6 out of 7 of tonight’s Drama categories: series, lead acting (male/ female), male supporting acting, directing and writing.
• Last Week Tonight with John Oliver earned 2 Emmys®, including the new OUTSTANDING SCRIPTED VARIETY SERIES category where it was forced to compete this year per the Television Academy’s new rule about talk v. variety format. This marks the 8th consecutive year that LAST WEEK TONIGHT has won its program category (previously OUTSTANDING TALK SERIES) and the show has disrupted the 6-year consecutive winning streak of Saturday Night Live in the now defunct OUTSTANDING VARIETY SKETCH SERIES category. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver has also now tied Saturday Night Live’s record of 8 variety program wins since 1976.
• HBO Originals managed to win all 11 specifically designated drama categories: series, lead acting (male/ female), supporting acting (male/ female), guest acting (male/ female), directing, writing, casting and picture editing) at the 75th Emmys® across The Last of Us, Succession and The White Lotus.
