Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse Remastered Receives First Trailer & 2024 Release Window

The eagerly awaited remastered version of Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse, a classic Telltale title, finally has a release date. Publisher and developer Skunkape Games has unveiled the first trailer of the anticipated game along with the launch date. The two-minute video showcases the narrative, unique characters, and the challenges that players will face.

The Devil’s Playhouse is the third episodic entry and the final chapter in the point-and-click adventure game trilogy. Skunkape Games, composed of former Telltale developers, acquired the rights to the series after Telltale closed in 2018. This remastered version follows a similar rework of Save the World (2020) and Beyond Time and Space (2021).

In this game, Sam has discovered a mysterious toy that allows him to glimpse the future. Now, Sam and Max have aroused the attention of a host of villains from across the galaxy who are hellbent on acquiring the magical Toys of Power to achieve their ends. A terrifying adversary awaits the Freelance Police as those searching for the Devil’s Toybox close in, and Max’s psychic abilities become beyond his control.

Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse remastered is scheduled to launch on 15 August 2024 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
