Ubisoft Is Making Monopoly For PC & Consoles

There are 30 video game versions of the classic board game Monopoly in existence, with various publishers and developers involved like Westwood Studios (of Command & Conquer fame) and Popcap Games (of Plants vs Zombies/Peggle fame).

Ubisoft is now the next studio to make a new Monopoly game based on the board game, making this version the 31st. The new Monopoly game will feature a “fresh look and improved game experience”.

Buy, sell, trade properties, and grow your empire in this faithful adaptation of the game we all grew up with! Dive into the center of the board to explore a gorgeous fully animated 3D city.

To give it that Ubisoft flavour, the silver pieces that represent players will most likely be mascots of the brand like the Rabbids, Rayman, Sam Fisher, or even Marcus from Watch Dogs 2. Anyway, reveal and gameplay trailer below:
