Xbox’s Sea of Thieves Dominates PS5 Downloads in US & Europe

In an impressive feat, Microsoft’s Sea of Thieves became the most downloaded PS5 game in both the US and Europe last month, according to Sony’s recently released top 20 charts on the PlayStation Blog.

Microsoft, known for its strong presence on rival platforms with hits like Call of Duty and Minecraft, has been making strategic moves to expand its reach. The company announced plans to bring more titles to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, starting with games like Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded.

In May, the PS5 download charts in both regions prominently featured Microsoft-owned games. Besides the top-ranking Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, and Fallout 4 also secured spots in the top 20 lists.

On the PS4 front, Minecraft led the download charts in Europe and the US, highlighting Microsoft’s continued success across platforms.
