Star Wars The Acolyte Episode 7 Breakdown & Easter Eggs
By Alleef Ashaari|July 10, 2024|0 Comment
The seventh episode of Star Wars The Acolyte is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Check out my spoiler-free review of Star Wars The Acolyte by heading over here.
The Acolyte is set in the High Republic era during the prime of the Jedi, around one hundred years before the events of Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace.
The Acolyte stars Amandla Stenberg (Bodies Bodies Bodies), Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game), Manny Jacinto (Nine Perfect Strangers), Dafne Keen (Logan), Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen & Slim), Rebecca Henderson (Inventing Anna), Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll), Dean-Charles Chapman (1917), and Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix).
For more details on each character, the StarWarsLord is here to help.
Check out my breakdown of Star Wars The Acolyte Episodes 1 and 2, Episode 3, Episode 4, Episode 5 and Episode 6 here.
The synopsis reads:
The Acolyte is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.
It follows an investigation into a crime spree that pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems.
A vergence is an unusual yet naturally occurring concentration of Force energy localized around a place, object, or person. The planet Brendok was supposed to be a lifeless planet due to a hyperspace disaster (a reference to the war with the Nihil from the Star Wars The High Republic comics and books) but due to a Vergence, it still manages to thrive with life, which is why the Jedi are investigating it.
During the scene when Torbin is in a trance on Brendok, it seems like Mother Aniseya tempted Torbin by asking him what he wants, and what he wanted was to return to Coruscant.
Master Sol’s intentions feel more and more suspicious.
So, what happens next is their fault.
Torbin wants to bring them back to the Jedi Council as proof of the Vergence because all he wants to return to Coruscant.
It was Mae who started the fire.
Master Sol mistakes Mother Aniseya for using her powers as an attack.
She uses him to fight Sol and Torbin, but Indara manages to stop him.
So, he was forced to let Mae fall.
So that Sol can be free to be Osha’s master and take care of her.
There you have it, folks.
Only one episode left, and until next week, may the Force be with you!
