Black Shrew Esports (BSE) emerged victorious in the 2024 Honor of Kings Championship in Jakarta, clinching the title after a decisive win over Dominator Esports (DMT) in the grand finals at Lippo Mall Kemang. BSE’s stellar performance earned them a prize of US$300,000 from the US$1 million pool and the prestigious honour of being the top Honor of Kings team worldwide. The intense showdown capped off a month-long tournament where 16 elite teams from around the globe vied for the championship title.

The tournament’s journey saw both thrilling tactical displays and upsets. The group stage placed Dominator Esports, Nova Esports, Team Secret, and Fearless Esports at the top of the upper bracket. But BSE ultimately overpowered DMT with a 3-1 win in the upper bracket, and though DMT managed a comeback by beating Team Secret 3-2 in the lower bracket, the grand final rematch again crowned BSE as champions. Musanking from BSE was named MVP, shining brightly with his exceptional skills.

This Jakarta Championship was the grand finale of an exhilarating year for Honor of Kings esports, marking the last major event of 2024. Earlier in the year, Season 1 kicked off in Istanbul with Vivo Keyd Stars taking the crown, followed by Season 2 in Kuala Lumpur, where LGD Malaysia (BSE’s former name) dominated. The inaugural Esports World Cup in Riyadh then saw KPL Dream Team claiming victory.
