We Can Already Fly Through Warzone’s New Map

For months, hints of Warzone’s new Avalon map have trickled out in teasers, sparking fan excitement and theories. Now, with Black Ops 6’s release, players can finally explore Avalon more directly—though it’s not officially in Warzone just yet.

Early teasers dropped hints, from Avalon’s name popping up on Rebirth Island to glimpses during Black Ops 6’s reveal challenges. Players even spotted parts of the Avalon map within the Training Course (a.k.a. Protocol) in the beta. But now, a fresh discovery by player Lightsfire, lets you access Avalon in even more detail: fire up a Private Match on the Lowtown map, switch on CoDCaster mode, and you can fly beyond the map’s bounds to roam Avalon’s layout.

Although the map lacks finished textures and detail, you’ll still see a rough layout of key POIs like Firing Range and Hacienda, classic Black Ops spots, plus the Black Ops 6 map Skyline. Avalon itself feels massive, with expansive green spaces between sprawling POIs and plenty of water to amp up the intensity of endgame circles.

Reddit user ‘Dull-Caterpillar3153’ even sketched out a fan-made Avalon map, naming locations based on familiar multiplayer map designs. While unofficial, the layout closely matches the in-game preview.

Initially, players hoped Avalon would be Warzone’s next map when Black Ops 6 integrates in Season 1. But with Area 99 now confirmed and Verdansk returning in early 2025, Avalon’s arrival may be set for the 2025 Warzone update, potentially alongside iconic BO2 maps and the new omnimovement system.
