Netflix February 2025: Our Picks & Highlights

I’m sure you won’t want to waste time sifting through Netflix’s extensive catalogue of shows and movies just to decide on what to watch. The streaming giant updates its site every day, week, and month with new content, so I’m here to save your precious time.

Here are my personal recommendations and highlights for Netflix Malaysia’s February 2025 lineup and how to fill up your free time with worthwhile content at home:

Apple Cider Vinegar (6 February 2025)

Set at the birth of Instagram, Apple Cider Vinegar follows two young women who set out to cure their life-threatening illnesses through health and wellness, influencing their global online communities along the way. All of which would be incredibly inspiring if it were all true. This is a true-ish story based on a lie, about the rise and fall of a wellness empire; the culture that built it up and the people who tore it down.

Cassandra (6 February 2025)

For fifty years, the house stayed silent – until a family moved in and Cassandra awakened. Originally created to serve, now fighting to stay. A family moves into a vintage smart home and discovers that it’s under the control of a virtual assistant — who will stop at nothing to keep them there.

The Witcher Sirens Of The Deep (11 February 2025)

The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep. Cr. COURTESY OF NETFLIX © 2024

This is the second The Witcher animated movie on Netflix after 2021’s The Witcher Nightmare Of The Wolf. Joey Batey and Anya Chalotra will return from the live-action Witcher series to voice Jaskier and Yennefer, respectively. Christina Wren will play Essi Daven, who’s never before appeared in media beyond the original Witcher books.

The synopsis reads:

“Geralt of Rivia, a mutated monster hunter, is hired to investigate a series of attacks in a seaside village and finds himself drawn into a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople. He must count on friends — old and new — to solve the mystery before the hostilities between the two kingdoms escalate into all-out war.”
