Path Of Exile 2 Is Fixing Its Endgame Content This Week
Path of Exile 2 is a lovely and tough action RPG that’s still in Early Access. While the first three story chapters are entertaining to play through, the endgame and Atlas maps can be a chore to go through, especially with its currently insane difficulty and one-shot kill frequencies.
Thankfully, developer Grinding Gear Games (GGG) is on the case and will dish out a quick fix to the Early Access title this week. Dubbed the 0.1.1 update, this quickfix will sort out the following, with more to come in the next few weeks.
Some highlights:
- Path of Exile 2’s endgame will feature more rewards from chests and monsters. The Towers will have 4 more maps, along with new bosses, with Elite attacks disappearing and not detonating after death.
- The endgame’s Strongbox, Expedition, and Ritual mechanics have been buffed to provide better rewards.
- For items, the low-level Uniques are buffed. Fewer bad affixes will be attached to various items in all tiers. Also, you can overwrite runes.
- There will be no new League yet; GGG will save that for a bigger update.
- You can finally instant-swap between controller and mouse/keyboard interface instead of having to quit the session and doing it at the main menu screen.
While only a good number of us managed to play through the endgame, we’ve heard a lot of complaints about its difficulty and lack of substantial rewards for it. It’s a good thing GGG is on the case, and reassuring us that there will be more to come especially with a bigger update and League play. Check out the patch preview below.
