Suikoden: Star Leap Gets Brand-New Story Trailer

Konami has released new information about its upcoming entry in the Suikoden franchise.

Called Suikoden: Star Leap, the JRPG entry is going to be for iOS and Android. The JRPG will act as both a prequel and a sequel, creating a new story but also bringing in classic Suikoden characters like Odessa, Flik, and Viktor.

Suikoden: Star Leap’s story will be supervised by Kazuyoshi Tsugawa (Suikoden V) and the soundtrack will be composed by Miki Higashino (who did the first few Suikoden games). As you can tell from the trailer, the game will retain its turn-based combat, its real-time strategy portions, and possibly duels, all while using lovely 2D pixel art.

Here are the characters you will get to recruit, since the game features 108 Stars of Destiny to find and bring to your cause.

Check out the trailer below. No release date has been announced yet.
