There are a few certainties in life: death, taxes, and the Southeast Asian games industry quietly flexing harder than your average AAA studio with 10 times the budget. Enter SEA Games Showcase 2025, where over 40 titles from the region’s most wonderfully unhinged minds were paraded in a glorious mess of creativity, chaos, and questionable voice acting.
You want metroidvanias with batik-powered grappling hooks? Sorted. Farming sims that double as ghost stories? Got those too. And yes—there’s at least one game where you fight capitalist oppression using a mystical rice cooker. If you blinked during the stream, you probably missed three bangers and a horror game about haunted karaoke.
So, for your sanity (and because you probably didn’t have time to watch a two-hour stream while pretending to work), here’s everything that was announced—boiled down, trimmed up, and given a bit of flair.
You can now run your farm with up to four players—complete with crossplay—and, yes, you can marry and even raise kids with them in Coral Island‘s latest update. It also brings a spooky seasonal festival featuring costumes for kids and love interests, plus new hangout events and special relationship moments once you’ve locked in your in-game soulmate.

The critically acclaimed narrative adventure Until Then from Filipino studio Polychroma is finally making its way to the Nintendo Switch—just in time to celebrate its first anniversary on 26 June. If you missed it the first time, now’s the perfect moment to dive into its emotionally rich, slow-burn coming-of-age tale.
Polychroma is also teasing a new project, though whether it’s a sequel, prequel, extra DLC, or something entirely unexpected is anyone’s guess.

Malaysian studio Passion Republic has dropped a brand-new free DLC for their kaiju party brawler GigaBash. Titled MechaJURAS, the update adds an original, mech-enhanced monster to the roster. First announced on 20 May, the steel-scaled beast officially stomped into the game on 29 May.
Reintroduced at SEAGS 2025, Compensation Not Guaranteed from Singapore’s Team Project Lunch (and published by Indonesia’s Toge Productions) is a political management sim with teeth. From Malaysian studio One More Dream Studios comes Never Ending Beyond, a chaotic action roguelite where survival depends on one thing: petting animals. Each cuddly companion brings its own weapons and passives to the battlefield, letting you craft wild builds as you fight your way through the mysterious “Beyond”. You play as Petaka, a furious amnesiac blasting his way across warped universes in a quest to piece together his lost memories. Ever wanted to be a building? Thai studio Tan Ant Games says, “Why not?” In Building Relationships, you literally play as a house rolling, jumping, and wave-dashing around a charming island in search of architectural affection. Woo other eligible structures, uncover a surprisingly heartfelt (and weirdly relatable) story—or just ignore all that and go fishing. With cars. Because fish don’t make sense here. Coming Q4 2025 from Malaysian studio Enigma Equation, Operatives: Revolve is a cinematic roguelike deckbuilder with a twist—your cards are literal “Machines” on the battlefield. Enemies won’t hesitate to strike, pierce, or bomb your cards to smithereens, so you’ll need to carefully install components and engineer chain reactions to outsmart and obliterate foes in stylish fashion.
