Xbox Games Showcase 2025: All Games & Announcements
By Lewis Larcombe|June 9, 2025|0 Comment
It’s that time of the year again—when Xbox wheels out its line-up in what’s either a glorious flex of exclusives or an overlong montage of CGI trailers that won’t see daylight until your current console is obsolete.
The Xbox Games Showcase 2025 is Microsoft’s annual attempt to convince the world that Game Pass is still the best deal in gaming and that their billion-dollar acquisitions are finally, finally going to pay off. Maybe.
With over a dozen first-party studios under their belt, a back-catalogue of half-finished hype, and a public still waiting on anything from Perfect Dark to Fable to show actual gameplay, this showcase has a lot riding on it. Will we get concrete updates? Surprise drops? Or just another cinematic about a man in a dark corridor whispering about the end of the world?
Only one way to find out. So here’s every major game and announcement as Xbox gets ready to throw open the green floodgates.
Obsidian’s long-awaited sequel finally re-enters orbit with a fresh gameplay drop and a proper story trailer—no more vague space banter. The Outer Worlds 2 is officially landing on 29 October 2025, and yes, it still has the same snarky charm… just with shinier guns and bigger existential dread.
The talking guns are back, and somehow even louder. High on Life 2 is officially on the way, promising more chaotic banter, weirder aliens, and a plot that absolutely no one will take seriously. Expect intergalactic conspiracies, stab-happy sidekicks, and a lot of fourth-wall-breaking nonsense when it launches this winter. Wishlist it now—or don’t. Your guns will probably guilt-trip you anyway.
Set 15 years before Requiem, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy shifts the spotlight to a younger Sophia—now a gritty, no-nonsense plunderer trying to survive 14th-century brutality on her own terms. Expect stealth, sorrow, and maybe a few less rats (for now). Launching in 2026, it’ll be on Xbox Series X | S, PC, Cloud, and straight into Game Pass on day one.
Xbox and ASUS are teaming up to take on handheld gaming with the ROG Xbox Ally and the beefier Ally X, dropping Holiday 2025. Think of it as Xbox on the go—with the versatility of Windows 11 baked in. The base Ally runs on an AMD Ryzen Z2 A chip with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD, tuned for efficiency without throttling your gameplay. Meanwhile, the Ally X kicks things up with a Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, 24GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD—perfect for those who like their frame rates high and their storage even higher.
From the folks at Rebel Wolves comes The Blood of Dawnwalker, a single-player, open-world dark fantasy RPG dripping with narrative gravitas. Set to release in 2026, you play as Coen—a newly-turned “Dawnwalker” cursed to straddle the worlds of light and dark. Armed with vampiric powers and mortal grit, Coen battles monsters, men, and time itself in a morally murky quest to save those he loves. Just don’t trust the daylight—it might not be as pure as it looks.
The notoriously brutal Super Meat Boy is ditching the 2D grind and leaping into 3D for the first time. Announced at the Xbox June Showcase, this twisted platformer madness is coming to Xbox Series X | S, PC, and Cloud. Prepare to die… in three dimensions.
The legendary ninja saga returns with NINJA GAIDEN 4, promising slick moves, brutal combat, and a fresh spin on the classic action formula. Mark your calendars for 21 October 2025—it’s time to unleash your inner assassin.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle returns with The Order of Giants, a thrilling new DLC launching 4 September. Dive into ancient Roman catacombs, outsmart a shadowy cult, and unravel emperor-crafted puzzles to expose the chilling legacy of the Nephilim giants. Adventure, danger, and history collide—just how Indy likes it.
From GAME FREAK inc. comes Beast of Reincarnation, a dark action RPG launching day one on Game Pass and Xbox Series X | S in 2026. Set in a ruined, post-apocalyptic Japan, you follow Emma—an outcast cursed as a Blighted One—and her loyal dog Koo as they trek through deadly, shifting forests filled with monstrous threats. Expect brutal, technical combat, a haunting journey about humanity, and a bond between human and beast that might just be the world’s last hope.
Step into Avalon’s grimy underbelly with Clockwork Revolution, a first-person RPG dripping in steam-powered gadgets and tough choices. Play as Morgan Vanette, leader of the Rotten Row Hooligans, fighting to undo Lady Ironwood’s twisted time meddling that’s kept the city’s poor under her thumb. Your mission? Rewrite history—by any means necessary.
Get ready to feel tiny again—Grounded 2 lands in Game Preview on 29 July 2025. This time, the backyard’s even bigger, weirder, and far more dangerous. Play solo or in co-op as you craft gear, build your buggy-riding base, and uncover the unsettling mystery lurking beneath the mulch. Something out there remembers you—and it’s not happy.
From Bloober Team comes Cronos: The New Dawn, a nerve-shredding third-person survival horror set in a twisted, time-warped future. The latest gameplay showcase dives into the belly of the beast as the Traveler ventures deep into an Orphan nest, where every corner could be your last. Humanity’s fallen, and abominations called Orphans now roam the ruins—merging into even more horrific forms.
In Aphelion, Earth’s toast and your only hope is a frozen rock called Persephone. Play as astronaut Ariane in this narrative-driven sci-fi adventure from DON’T NOD, blending exploration, stealth, and survival. Coming 2026 to Xbox and Game Pass.
You’ve inherited a haunted hotel—lucky you. In this cosy musical mystery, fix up The Grand room by room while unravelling its eerie past. Ghosts? Nah. Probably. Coming soon to Xbox.
Age of Mythology: Retold expands this Fall with Heavenly Spear, introducing 12 Japanese gods and a mythic campaign starring Yasuko, a farmer’s daughter turned divine spear-wielder. Command Kitsune, Oni, and Samurai as legend clash with destiny.
In MUDANG: Two Hearts, a North Korean soldier and a K-Pop star get entangled in a conspiracy that could derail Korean reunification. This sleek stealth-action thriller set in modern-day South Korea lands in 2026.
Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf takes the cinematic puzzle adventure to new heights. With Novo forever changed, Lana and Mui return in a bigger, bolder sequel to confront a new threat—and maybe a few ghosts of the past. Arriving in 2026 on Xbox and Game Pass day one.
Fallout 76 adds fishing—because apparently blowing stuff up wasn’t relaxing enough. Cast your line anywhere there’s water, catch quirky fish, and throw wasteland cookouts. Who knew a nuclear apocalypse could be this chill?
Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE blasts onto Xbox with intense action RPG combat and 4-player co-op — ready to turn your squad into unstoppable hunters.
Aniimo is a free-to-play ARPG where you play as a Pathfinder, capturing and evolving magical creatures in a sprawling, living world. Explore, fight, and master your Aniimo in real time — launching 2026 on Xbox Series X | S and PC.
The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 launch gameplay trailer drops fresh tricks and rad moves, giving skateboard fans a closer look at the skatepark action coming to Xbox on 11 July 2025.
At Fate’s End is a 2D side-scrolling action-adventure where the toughest battles are with those closest to you. Launching in 2026 on Xbox Series X | S, PC, and day one with Game Pass.
Coming 26 August 2025, day one with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, get ready to dive back into one of gaming’s legendary shooters, now rebuilt in stunning 4K with up to 120 FPS and fully revamped multiplayer.
