Courtesy of Disney+ Hotstar Malaysia, we were recently lucky enough to attend an online press conference for the upcoming Moon Knight series. It featured Oscar Isaac, May Calamay, Ethan Hawke, Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead, and Grant Curtis. What’s interesting is that Moon Knight director and executive producer Mohamed Diab pointed out how the series currently holds the record for the least number of reshoots in Marvel Studios history.

He said:

“I have to thank Marvel for giving us the chance. I think you gave us the chance to develop this show when you gave us the chance to do those table reads. Everyone who’s sitting here added his soul to the project and I have to say that we hold the record of least additional photography in the history of Marvel.

Because we rehearsed a lot.”

Oscar Isaac also had this to say about it:

“Every weekend while we were shooting, we would sit around the table and have Sunday brunch, and we would just talk about the episodes, talk about the show, what we’ll do.”

That’s a nice bit of information, considering that Marvel Studios projects are often notorious for having extensive reshoots, which often leads to more online leaks. Perhaps this record is why we still don’t much about the upcoming series, so kudos to the teams behind the Moon Knight series for the achievement.

Moon Knight premieres on Disney+ Hotstar on 30 March, and will comprise of six episodes. Stay tuned for our review and more coverage of the series.
