Anuchard Guide & Walkthrough: How To Conquer This 90s Action RPG Tribute

Anuchard is out now and it’s a lovely action RPG that pays tribute to 90s Enix JRPGs like the Quintet Trilogy and even PlayStation 1 era titles like Alundra.

The game’s combat and puzzles can be a mite tricky, so here are some video walkthroughs on how to tackle each dungeon. There are spoilers in the video, so here’s your warning.

Some combat tips before we start with the video WALKTHROUGHS

Eat food before you head out to dungeons. Eating food at the Orchard Village kitchen run by Muthu will give you health and attack buffs. Not only that, you can also get special moves that can help with your combo strings and area-of-effect damage. To cook your food, just pick a main ingredient (cabbage, potato, etc.), then combine it with a second ingredient.
Upgrade your village. You can unlock new buffs for your Spire (your bell staff skill that can heal and shoot out projectiles) and also new ingredients for the kitchen.
Use Heavy Attacks to destroy enemy armour. Enemies with armour cannot take regular damage, so you have to destroy their armour. You do this by hitting them with Heavy Attacks that slams them to a wall.
Your Heavy Attack and your dodge roll are mapped on one button. This is convenient because when you approach an enemy when you roll, you automatically can do a Heavy attack which is a guaranteed hit.
