A New Game Of Thrones Jon Snow Spinoff Is In The Works

HBO is making yet another Game Of Thrones spinoff series, but this time it’s going to be set after the events of 2019’s Season 8 and will focus on Jon Snow, with Kit Harington reprising his iconic role.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Game Of Thrones Jon Snow spinoff series is currently in early development. The last time we met Jon Snow in the end of Season 8, he discovered his true birth name (Aegon Targaryen), helped to defeat Daenerys, and he was last seen journeying North of the Wall with the rest of the surviving Wildlings.

This is an interesting project because it will be the only one that’s a sequel to the main Game Of Thrones series. Including this new one, there are currently seven Game Of Thrones projects in various stages of development. This includes the upcoming prequel series, House Of The Dragon, which will premiere on 21 August 2022.

Other live-action prequels includes 10,000 Ships (a.k.a. Nymeria) with showrunner Amanda Segel, 9 Voyages (a.k.a. The Sea Snake) with showrunner Bruno Heller, and Dunk And Egg with showrunner Steve Conrad, as well as three animated prequel projects, including The Golden Empire, which is set in the China-inspired land of Yi Ti.
