Square Enix’s Newest Game Is Basically Their Version Of Rune Factory & Harvest Moon
Square Enix is most likely done with making new versions of Final Fantasy games and remastering ports of their classics, so it decides to announce a new game for Nintendo Switch called Harvestella. Which kinda looks familiar if you have been playing Japanese-made farm sims or their hybrids.
What’s the game about? You play as an adventurer who has to do farm work, cooking, and maintaining your plot of land and homestead. You also have to venture out of your town to look for materials, killing monsters and earning money called Ein. The game also has the usual four seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) along with one that’s labelled “death”. Well, it’s called Quietus and it’s the game’s main plot point where your character has to figure out why it’s killing crops and how you can fix it through the course of the story.

We suspect we have to kill a ton of giant fantasy monsters to solve that conundrum. Gameplay trailer’s below.
Square Enix’s version of Rune Factory and Story of Seasons will be out on 4 November for Nintendo Switch and PC. Now if you can somehow date and marry any of the townsfolk there, then you can say it’s a complete imitation.
