Zack Snyder’s Justice League Do-Over Got Help From Twitter Bots & Fake Accounts

Ever wonder why there were way too many people clamouring for a do-over of the Justice League movie? Turns out most of it isn’t even from real people at all.

In a Rolling Stone exclusive feature, bots and other inauthentic users helped fuel the fan-led campaign for Zack Snyder’s Justice League “Snyder Cut” release. A WarnerMedia report stated that the groundwork for the social media campaign started before 2020, with the whole thing starting to take shape in Spring 2020 when Zack Snyder repeatedly demanded the names of two producers be removed from his cut: Geoff Johns and Jon Berg.

Two social media media firms that track the authenticity of social media campaigns spotted the inauthentic activity coming from the SynderVerse online community, stating that “Zack was like Lext Luthor wreaking havoc”. In fact, a source mentioned that Snyder hired a digital marketing firm to juice fan engagement in 2016 when Batman V Superman was getting negative reviews by critics.

Of course, Snyder denied all these claims. You can check out the full story here. Bottom line, this isn’t really surprisingly but at least now we have some semblance of confirmation that all the hype around the DC Snyderverse is manufactured.
